Frequently asked questions
Open a question to read the answer. Every action described here is available in the app or in iOS Settings.
How is my progress stored?
Your profile, settings, answers and study history are stored locally on the device. No account is required. Deleting the app or resetting data in Settings may remove your progress.
How do I change the app and question language?
The question language follows the app language. Open the app’s Settings screen and select the language option to open the iOS per-app language settings. A practice or mock-exam session keeps the language it had when the session started.
I purchased Remove Ads, but ads still appear
Open Settings in the app and select Restore Purchases. Make sure the device is signed in to the same Apple Account used for the purchase and has an internet connection.
If restoration fails, include the iOS and app versions in your support request. Do not send a full receipt or payment information.
How do I change my license class?
Select a different license class in the app’s Settings. To prevent accidental loss of progress, the app asks for confirmation before making this significant change.
How do I turn the daily reminder on or off?
Manage the reminder in the app’s Settings. If notifications are blocked, open iOS Settings, choose Notifications, find Theory and update the permission. The reminder is scheduled locally on the device.
How do I turn sounds or haptics off?
Sounds and haptics are enabled by default. Separate controls in the app’s Settings let you turn either type of feedback off.
How do I use Read Aloud?
Turn Read Aloud on in the app’s Settings. It uses iOS speech services. Voice volume and speaking rate can be adjusted through the device’s accessibility settings.
How do I manage ad privacy choices?
When Google requires a permanent privacy-options entry point, it appears in the app’s Settings. See the Privacy Policy for more information.
I found a question or answer that seems wrong
Send a screenshot or the question number, license class and a short description of the issue. Do not include unnecessary personal information. The app is an independent study tool; when in doubt, rely on the latest official materials and guidance.
Is this an official app?
No. Theory is an independent study app and is not operated or approved by Israel’s Ministry of Transport and Road Safety. It does not replace official guidance and cannot guarantee that you will pass the test.
